INTRODUCTION

🌾 Our 10 day cycling adventure in Laos promise to be an unforgettable experience, with numerous highlights that will leave us breathless and in awe of the beautiful landscapes and cultural gems of this fascinating country:

βœ… One of the first highlights of our trip is a boat trip on the Nam Ngem River. We cruise along the tranquil river, taking in the stunning scenery of the surrounding mountains and lush green forests. The calmness of the water provide a sense of tranquility, and we savor every moment as we floated along.

βœ… Next, we embark on a trek to Kuang Si, a picturesque waterfall located in the heart of the Laos countryside. As we hike through the dense jungle, we will captivate by the natural beauty that surround us. An add bonus is the opportunity to visit a Hmong village, where we gain insight into the daily lives and traditions of this ethnic minority group.

βœ… No visit to Laos will be complete without a stop in Luang Prabang, a city that is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The city's blend of traditional Lao and French colonial architecture is simply breathtaking, and we immerse ourselves in the rich cultural heritage, exploring beautiful temples and strolling through the lively night markets.

βœ… In Vang Vieng, we embark on a challenging climb to a viewpoint that reward us with sweeping panoramic vistas of the surrounding limestone karsts and the winding Nam Song River. Another thrilling experience is exploring the Water Cave, where we kayak through the cave's dark tunnels, marveling at the stunning stalactites and stalagmites that adorn the cavern.

βœ… Our tour of Vientiane, the capital city of Laos, allow us to discover its vibrant mix of traditional and modern influences. From the grandeur of the Patuxai Victory Monument to the beauty of the sacred Wat Si Saket, we fell in love with the city's charm and cultural richness.

βœ… The Blue Lagoon Tour is another highlight of our trip. We indulge in crystal-clear waters, swimming and snorkeling amongst colorful tropical fish. Relaxing on the sandy beach and enjoying a picnic lunch provide the perfect respite from our cycling adventures.

βœ… A visit to Kuang Si Falls is a true treat for the senses. The cascading turquoise waters and lush greenery create a magical oasis that seem straight out of a postcard. We relish in the refreshing waters, feeling rejuvenate and grateful for nature's wonders.

βœ… Our final highlight is a visit to the Laos Wildlife Conservation Trust. Here, we are able to witness firsthand the incredible efforts being make to protect and preserve the country's unique wildlife. Through educational talks and close encounters with some of these majestic creatures, we leave with a renewed commitment to environmental conservation.

βœ… As our cycling adventure in Laos come to an end, we are left with lifelong memories of the incredible landscapes, the warm hospitality of the Lao people, and the rich cultural heritage that makes this country so special. Full Itinerary

πŸ’’ Day 1: Luang Prabang (L, D/Cycling 20 km)expand_more

Meet your guide early morning and get sized up on one of our quality mountain bikes.  Ride a short distance to the Mekong River where we'll board a ferry to cross the river.  On this tour – our newest tour opposite side of the Mekong River – you’ll meet villagers, see animals roaming and try local snacks along the way.

We'll ride a looping circuit of about 20km (3 hours) medium biking on dirt roads with some hills. There is a good amount of shade along the way and you will feel like you are miles away from Luang Prabang with the absence of other tourists and traffic.

Look back on Luang Prabang from the river. We then ride on gravel roads passing rice fields and amazing views. We stop in a village and try local snacks and observe village life happening around us. We continue on single tracks passing farmlands and animals. Ensure your camera is charged for all the stunning photos you will take.

We stop again in another village for cold drinks and watching locals going about their business. After exploring on single tracks a little longer we hit the tarmac a short while to the ferry. We have lunch in a local restaurant near the ferry landing and your guide is with you every step of the way.

In the Evening over dinner at a great local vocational restaurant, we will discuss the ride ahead. Overnight in Luang Prabang!

βœ… Inclusion: Sala Prabang hotel, support vehicle, Mt.bike, helmet, biking guide, meal, drinking water, snacks, fruits, ferry, entrance fee.
