Cycling Through The Legendary Mekong Delta 6 Days/ 5 nights

We will depart around 7:30 AM by van to Tan An, which is only about 1.5 hours away. We will fit and adjust the bikes for your 5-day cycling adventure. Our first stop will be an impressive compound of lesser-known vegetable farms. We will then take a ferry and ride past the well-known farmland that supplies Ho Chi Minh City. As we continue cycling, we will pass through an area renowned for its herbs and dragon fruits. You may have the chance to see locals harvesting beans in the fields, and we will enjoy a local lunch experience.

In the afternoon, you can choose to continue cycling or take a break for a hammock siesta. Our escort guide will be available to assist you. Next, we will head to Ben Tre, a region known for its abundant fruit orchards and coconut production. This will be an opportunity to engage your senses by observing the huge plantations, tasting the fresh fruit, and experiencing the local aroma.

At the end of the cycling day, we will reach the riverbank of the Mekong River, where we will transfer to our accommodation in Ben Tre. You will spend the night at a 4-star resort and enjoy dinner at the finest local restaurant.

A morning bicycle ride gives you an opportunity to get close to Khmer farmers. Cross peaceful rice paddy fields on concrete paths, pedal through villages with beautiful views of countryside in surroundings. You will have some stops at the home of locals to experience the living of Khmer. You will have your photo taken at Khmer temples and spending time walking to understand the difference between Theravada and Mahayana branches of Buddhism. In the afternoon, we cycle on the back road through fruit orchards, vegetable fields and cross some small natural creeks with locals on a ferry. These ferries are the daily means of transport in rural areas. Have a short transfer to Can Tho city in the late afternoon and free in the evening!

A 30 minutes on minivan to get to the boat station to be embarked on the motorized boat ride to Cai Rang Floating Market. You'll have the opportunity to watch the largest and busiest floating market on the Mekong River. Take a morning ride along the Mekong Riverside and explore on footpaths through lush green rice fields, sweet potato plantations and a huge network of small man made canals.

On arrival in the old Thoi Lai town at noon time for lunch and transfer to natural forest Tra Su which is an impressive site for stork birds and Cajuput ferns to be explored by Sampan and motorized boat in the forest headquarter. If time permits, you will cycle toward the Sam Mountain and end this day in the late afternoon. Overnight at a hotel in Chau Doc!

Begin your bike ride today with exploring beautiful countryside roads through mango orchards, small villages and local markets, smooth track along Mekong River before a ferry boat taking you to Gieng Island. Spending your pleasure time pedaling to and stopping at Monastery, which was built 120 years ago by the French. This is the first Monastery building site in Indochina, established in 1874. Spending 30 minutes to walk around admire the colonial building style in the area.

After lunch in Cho Moi town, we start to bike to Cao Lanh, experience local life along country back roads; see duck raising on rice paddy fields, fish farming by rivers and rice harvesting. Passing Muslim villages, stilt houses and vegetable paddy fields.

Enjoy the typical nature of the eucalyptus region by cycling 55 km from Xeo Quyt. At Xeo Quyt Base, you will explore the tropical forest and learn about the Viet Cong base that was built during the US. War and cycle toward Truc Lam Chanh Giac Zen Monastery, short sight-seeing and ride 4 more km to the lunch place.

After lunch, you will be able to find a hammock coffee-shop for a siesta before cycling 20 km onto the rural farms of pine-apple which is the largest pine-apple in Vietnam. Our guide will let you taste the fresh pine-apple and drive you close to Cu Chi historic town overnight!

Enjoy a short drive in a van with the general briefing about the legendary Cu Chi Tunnels which used to be the underground village with about 250 km length. We pedal about 45 km to the tunnels and spend 2 hours learning how to live and fighting skills underground during 20 years.

Taste a good meal of lunch on the right side of the Saigon river and cross the Mighty Saigon River to cycle downstream close to bustling Saigon center where we end the service after a short transfer to drop you off at the Old Quarter Saigon where you booked the accommodation.
