Vietnam Coast Cycling: Hoian to Saigon 7 days

In the Morning: You will embark on an ancient walking tour of Hoi An, exploring this enchanting port town. Stroll through narrow lanes adorned with centuries-old houses reflecting Chinese, Japanese, French, and European architectural influences. Visit various points of interest, including the 400-year-old Japanese Covered Bridge, the Phuc Kien Assembly Hall, and the local fish market. As you wander the town, you'll discover numerous art galleries and tailor shops, where you can order custom-made clothing if you wish.

Then, Cycle to Tra Que village and join the farmers in various activities such as sowing, watering, and harvesting vegetables. After that, enjoy a boat tour on the Thu Bon River. Follow your guide to the riverbanks, where you'll take to the water and explore even more of the area. Cruise along the river, watching the sun set as local fishing boats bob on the water, enhancing the picturesque atmosphere.

Today, we will begin our cycling adventure from the resort in Hoi An Ancient Town, taking back streets that wind past vibrant fishing villages towards the Thu Bon River. We'll cross the river via a steel bridge and visit a local fresh market where fish come directly from the East Sea to the vendors' baskets. This is a fantastic opportunity to experience the authentic daily lives of locals who have resided in the area for generations. 

After the market, we’ll continue cycling along country roads that traverse numerous villages and small towns. We’ll take a break for lunch at a local restaurant near Tam Thanh Beach before embarking on a two-hour drive to Tam Quan. There, we'll cycle on peaceful back roads lined with palm trees, eventually making our way along the coastline, where we’ll enjoy breathtaking views over the bay and mountains as we navigate the sandy dune peninsula. 

Today’s ride promises plenty of coastal scenery as we traverse the well-maintained roads, with friendly villagers waving and cheering us on. We will arrive in Quy Nhon city early in the evening, where we will spend the night!

After a leisurely breakfast, we will be transferred to the southern coast in Quy Nhon for a cycling adventure starting from a quaint village by the waterfront. We will cross a narrow wooden bridge, take in the stunning ocean views, and admire the colorful circular bamboo boats found in small fishing villages.

Our journey continues as we cycle through rustic farms and charming towns along lush farmland on scenic back roads, leading us to Da Dia Reefs. This remarkable coastal area stretches approximately 100 meters wide and 250 meters long, comprising around 35,000 columns of basalt rocks. These dark lava formations exhibit flat surfaces in various shapes, including round, pentagonal, hexagonal, and polygonal. We'll take a short break to walk around and capture some photos.

Continuing with our plan, we will cycle along narrow pathways adjacent to the local beaches, passing by small markets until we reach the vibrant lagoon. Here, we will have another opportunity to admire hundreds of floating fish farms. The ride will then proceed, crossing rivers and exploring picturesque villages along undulating paths, as we pass colorful ancient temples and pagodas. Throughout our route, we'll enjoy stunning views of nature, including sweet potato fields, tapioca fields, and rice paddies, as we make our way to the finishing point in Tuy Hoa. After a two-hour drive, we will arrive in Nha Trang where we will spend the night at a 5-star beach hotel.

Get ready for a challenge as you conquer the Hon Giao Pass ! Our transfer for cycling in Lội Stream village. We'll start with a warm-up ride for a few kilometers before cycling uphill on a tarmacked road for 33 km to reach the summit, where we'll enjoy a local lunch or a picnic on the peak. From there, we’ll navigate rolling hills and follow part of the Ho Chi Minh Trail as we make our way to Da Lat Valley. We will spend the night at a 4-star hotel located right by the Da Lat Market!

Enjoy a 1.5-hour transfer to Dai Ninh Lake and its hydroelectric dam, where you'll have the opportunity to take a scenic downhill cycling ride through the Kalon Reserve Forest Zone. Afterward, savor a local lunch in Phan Son town and take a short break before continuing your ride to explore the rural villages along the Luy River. Next, we will embark on a 30-minute quad bike tour before transferring to Mui Ne, where you'll spend the night at a 4-star beachfront resort.

After a 25-minute drive, embark on your cycling adventure in southern Mui Ne. Cycle along the coastline to take in views of the Khe Ga Lighthouse, located in Vietnam's famous dragon fruit region. You'll also have the chance to ride through some jungles and rubber plantations before heading to Saigon in the early afternoon. End of our service at your booked accommodation, our driver and guide will return to Hoian in the evening where you start this tour !
