Life is Better on Two Wheels (And With a Good Sense of Humor!)
Hello world! I am Kim Ngoc Linh, but please, just call me Mr. Kim. If you are looking for a super-serious tour guide who recites textbook dates with a poker face... well, you might have the wrong guy! But if you want a passionate, local adventure leader who treats every guest like family, turns unexpected headwinds into hilarious stories, and knows where to find the absolute best iced coffee in Indochina, then welcome aboard!

From Mekong Mud to International Mileage
My story started in Tra Vinh, a quiet, palm-fringed province in the heart of the Mekong Delta. Growing up poor in the country, I originally thought tourism would be my quick ticket to becoming a millionaire so I could buy my parents a palace. Spoiler alert: I didn't become a millionaire, but I found something infinitely better—my absolute life calling!
Back in 2002, getting a university degree and an official International Tour Guide License was no walk in the park. To pay for school, buy textbooks, and learn English and Khmer, I worked every odd job imaginable. I was a waiter dropping coffee spoons, a translator, and even a cross-border bus assistant ("lơ xe") bouncing along dusty roads between Saigon and Phnom Penh.

My Philosophy: Turning Hardship into High-Fives
Those early days on bumpy cross-border buses taught me my most valuable life lesson: When life hands you a flat tire, make coconut ice cream! Working from absolute zero gave me an unbreakable spirit and a golden rule for guiding: The guest’s comfort, safety, and joy always come first—no exceptions.
Because I built my career from the ground up, I never take a single day for granted. I have guided everyone from budget backpackers to corporate executives and VVIPs. To me, every single rider on my tour deserves 110% of my energy, maximum enthusiasm, and total dedication.

Why I Love Cycling with Vietnam By Bike
When I joined Vietnam By Bike, I knew I had found my true home. Tour buses are fine, but bicycles are magic! On two wheels, you aren't just looking at Southeast Asia through a glass window—you are smelling the blooming jasmine, feeling the morning river breeze, and exchanging high-fives with local village kids.
As a guide who knows the secret backroads of Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos, and Thailand, my favorite part of the day is taking guests off the tourist highway into hidden villages. Seeing travelers laugh, conquer mountain passes, and enjoy authentic local meals is what keeps my heart pumping pedal after pedal.

Your Adventure is Waiting—Let’s Ride!
Every morning when I wake up in a new village, grab a fresh cup of coffee, and check our fleet of bikes, I feel like the luckiest guy in Vietnam. Travel isn't just about taking photos; it’s about refreshing your soul, making lifelong friends, and returning home with stories that make you smile for years to come.
If you're dreaming of an unforgettable cycling holiday in Vietnam or Indochina, don't overthink it! Pack your sense of adventure, leave your stress behind, and let my team and me show you the ride of your life.

The bikes are tuned, the coffee is brewing, and the roads are calling. Come pedal with me and the incredible team at Vietnam By Bike!
